2 Diseases of the Nervous System
CHAPTER 11 Diseases of the Nervous System

3 Diseases of the Nervous System—Code Range G00-G99
Diseases of the Nervous System are reported from Chapter 6 of ICD-10-CM. This chapter contains codes for disorders of the nervous system. The nervous system controls all bodily activities.

4 Nervous System Central Nervous System—The brain and spinal cord.
Peripheral Nervous System—The part of the nervous system that directly branches off the central nervous system. Twelve pairs of cranial nerves and 12 pairs of spinal nerves are part of this system.
