2. What does this spider’s web have to do with today’s lesson?
Spiders webs are toxtivity testers. Researchers ‘sprayed’ substances on spiders webs, the more toxic the substance the more deformed the web. Link to the lesson is about the consequences and effects of taking drugs.

Using the stimulus ask students to come up with the consequences of taking these substances. Use these as a starting point, what other ideas can they come up with. Ask them to use a key to colour code the short term and positive effects. Students will most likely come up with negative effects, ask them to consider the positive effects as well.
Discuss that with drugs it depends on which drugs you have taken as to the consequences 10
