Need to have 1 year of education at a licensed LPN school with a heavy focus on math and sciences Able to give shots, give pills, check blood pressures and other vital signs, change dressings Average salary is $45, 000 per year Can work in doctors office, hospital, nursing home, patients home

What is an RN? Initials stand for Registered Nurse
Schooling required varies Associates Degree in Nursing: 2 year program from either a community college or technical school Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN): 4 years of education from a College or University

Which is better, a 2 year Program or a BSN?
An individual decision 2 year program costs less and most credits transfer into a BSN program later BSN is needed if you want to go further in your education for a Masters Degree or even a PhD so you can teach

While there are routines that nurses follow no matter where they work there is really no average day! Day starts with a report from the nurse going off duty Round on patients to check vital signs and see what they need Pass Medications, do dressing changes or treatments, report off to nurse coming on duty
