Access from Pucallpa: 10 hours by private boat, 20 hours by public boat.

CC.NN. Caco Macaya Foundation: Approx 39 years old Number of Families: 800 families, but just 122 are reported.

Interventions ’90s -> Sugarcane project (not working aymore)
1993: European Union through Spanish nuns -> community reforestation. 1998: INRENA (now OSINFOR- Organismo de Supervisión de los Recursos Forestales y de Fauna Silvestre-) -> family reforestation (10 participants). Till August 2014: timber extraction from a private company «Empresa Capirona». 2014: Foncodes’ Project «chacra emprendedora» about implementation and maintenance of family chacras.

Conflicts related to natural resources
Conflict with CCNN Puerto Belén for the use of timber present in the border between the two community territories. 2014: The community has a fine because the company Capirona cut trees outside the permitted area declared by OSINFOR (60,000 $)
