2 Dear Chanelle and Tony, The transition statement has been written to outline the significant learning that occurred whilst Alfio attended Goodstart Proserpine Kindergarten program. The following information will summarise your child’s strengths, interests and key learning over the time they attended kindergarten. This information is valuable support for children, parents and future teachers as they move towards their next phase in life, starting school. The transition statement is designed to summarise learning and development and aligns with the mandated Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines. Each section will describe a range of key focus and significant learning’s. This information has been gathered through the year via formal and informal methods including parent input, child and teachers conversations and children’s participation in various learning experiences. The Early Childhood Teacher’s decision making is guided by the standards as outlined in the learning and development phases of the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines continua. Goodstart Early Learning encourages you to share this information with your child’s school to support the transition process for you and your child.
