4. Elodea
Elodea is a type of pondweed- they are green in colour and so we do not need to use a stain

5. Preparing slides Collect a slide, cover slip and leaf of pondweed
Put the leaf on the slide with a drop of water and lower the cover slip on top
Set up your microscope
Examine the leaf under the microscope
Draw what you see on page 10
