2. Get into groups of 3-5 People
I will give you a set of blocks
Our goal is to try and build some of the Greek structures using our blocks. You may even come up with some new styles of architecture!

3. In your Group, See if you can build
A structure using post and lintel technique
Do you know any famous structures that use this technique?

4. Can you build.. A corbeled arch?
Are there any other ways to build an arch? Try a “keystone” arch

5. Can you build a structure with a pediment?

6. Can you build a peristyle structure? -include 2 pediments - add a roof..

7. Build your groups masterpiece
See if you can combine two or more of the techniques you used. (or come up with your own.)
As a group ( 1 piece of paper) describe the structure that you built (use the vocabulary words from today.

8. Assignment for Monday: (15 Points)
Read Chapter 17 (Greek Science and Culture)
- Identify 5 figures from Greek Math, Science, or Philosophy and describe what they did.
