The Field The games are played on Hutch Field.
There will be allowed one 1-minute timeout per team per game. Time outs may only be called after a goal is made. Substitutions may only be made after a team has scored or during a time out. Equipment: There are 6 goals. Each participant will be provided with a broom, which must be kept between their legs, at all times, during play. Quaffle= A volleyball deflated enough to be gripped in one hand, but must maintain its spherical shape, and the Budgers are foam dodgeballs. Participants MUST wear athletic shoes, NO metal cleats are allowed.

The Game Quidditch is a fast paced sport, with 7 athletes on each team, playing four different positions, and using three different balls. Positions are indicated by the color of the flags worn around the waist of the players: Chasers: White flags Beaters: Green Flags Keepers: Orange Seekers: No flags. Snitches: Yellow flags with a yellow jersey

Positions Chasers: Three players per side are called chasers
Beaters: Two players per side. Their goal is to use the Bludgers to disrupt the flow of the game by “knocking” out other players. Keepers are immune from the “knock out” effect in their own goal areas. Keepers: one per team. Their job is to defend the goal hoops from opposing chasers. Seekers: Each team must have one Seeker. The Seeker’s responsibility is to catch the Snitch

Fouls There is no contact allowed between players.
There is no contact with goals There are four major types of fouls, with different consequences: Back to Hoops Offenses: A Cautionable Foul (AKA a Caution): may result in a 30s penalty box Yellow card- player is removed for the half, but another teammate can substitute for that player’s position A Send Off Foul: The player has received a red card, is barred from the rest of the game
