To meet the deadline = finish on time To fall behind schedule = make slow progress To catch up = get back to the original schedule To be back on track = work to the predicted schedule

To finish ahead of schedule = finish before the planned date To allocate resources = make use of money/time/people To stay within budget = spend the right amount of money To delegate tasks = give people responsibilities

In time and on time In time means having enough time to be able to do something. If we leave now, we’ll be there in time for the meeting. On time means at the correct time. I have to be at work at 9 a.m. and I always arrive on time.
