2. English Language Proficiency Testing
The Miami-Dade County Public Schools Oral Language Proficiency Scale-Revised Interview (MDCPS-OLPS-R) is administered to Kindergarten students for initial placement.
CELLA Online is comparable to the Spring CELLA that is administered every year. CELLA online is administered for entry purposes into ESOL and for Extension of ESOL services – Three Years or More Anniversary date in ESOL.
The purpose for testing for Extension of ESOL services is to determine whether or not the student meets criteria to exit the ESOL program for FTE.

3. English Language Proficiency Testing
Online CELLA is administered for:
Initial placement in the ESOL program for students in grades 1-12.
Continuation in the ESOL program for students in need of an ESOL level update due to re-entry or missing annual spring assessment.
Extension of ESOL services - Three Years or More Anniversary in the ESOL program.

6. How to add a teacher? Teacher’s name Username (md+ employee number)
For the purposes of the CELLA Online system, all CELLA test administrators that you will add are considered “teachers.” Add a Teacher Form will display. Enter:

Password
(M-DCPS )
M-DCPS requires:
Lowercase initials “md” followed by the teacher’s employee number (e.g., md123456).

12. ACCESS for ELLs 2.0
Florida uses the Assessing Comprehension and Communication in English State -to-State for English Language Learners 2.0 (ACCESS for ELLs 2.0) annually to assess the English language proficiency of English Language Learners.
ACCESS for ELL 2.0 is a paper based test
