1 Hypro Nozzles

2 Nozzles for Boom Sprayers
Durable Polyacetal material Batch tested to +/- 2.5% flow and correct angle at 3 bar Available in FastCap assemblies

3 Ultra Low Drift / Drift Beta
Features Larger air filled droplet Thick 60 degree fan Compact design Twin air inlets Upwards facing air inlets FastCap option available Benefits Up to 90% drift reduction Ideal for soil applied and systemic chemicals Prevents damage Holds spray pattern down to 1 bar Prevents spray liquid escape Easy to fit Side view showing thick pattern The Ultra Low-drift (ULA) is the ideal spray nozzle for pre- and post-emergence herbicide applications, where drift reduction is paramount. A unique thick spray pattern, measuring nearly 60° front to back, coupled with the 120° wide spray angle, enables the boom height to be lowered to further decrease drift potential. 4 Ultra Low Drift (ULD) Coarser sprays like ULD are ideal for soil applied agrochemicals where foliar wetting is not important They can also be used on larger targets where the chemical moves within the plant HYPRO NOZZLE TRAINING

5 FastCap option available
Guardian Air (GA) Features Finest air included droplets Small rearward incline Holds pattern down to 1 bar FastCap option available Benefits Good coverage at low water rates. Suitable for a wide range of targets Even front and back coverage. 75% drift reduction at bar Easy to fit Side view showing rear incline HYPRO NOZZLE TRAINING

6 Guardian Air (GA)

7 1.5 bar at 8 kph = 100 l/ha at 3 star Lerap (>75% drift reduction)
Guardian Air (GA) Managing drift using forward speed 3 bar at 12 kph = 100 l/ha at optimum spray quality for coverage 1.5 bar at 8 kph = 100 l/ha at 3 star Lerap (>75% drift reduction)

8 Guardian Air (GA) A finer air inclusion sprayed straight down is effective in reaching weeds and stem bases in cereal crops GA nozzle is also ideal for wheat ear spray fungicides where there is often only a small weather window HYPRO NOZZLE TRAINING

9 Guardian Air Twin (GAT)
Features Finest air included droplets Twin inclined sprays Easy-twist' locking cap Outlets similar size to single Benefits Good coverage at lower water rates Gets underneath crop canopies Easily fitted and removed More tolerant of blockage Side view showing twin sprays HYPRO NOZZLE TRAINING

11 Guardian Air Twin (GAT)
A twin 30° inclined spray with finer air inclusion droplets is effective in getting into crop canopies for fungicides and desiccant applications It is also effective at getting spray coverage onto all the sides of soil clods and ridges HYPRO NOZZLE TRAINING

12 Air Induction Nozzles – Droplet size ranking
Beware! There are big differences between AI nozzles Larger We will take a closer look at one of the bar charts. It basically ranks different types of AI nozzle according to the droplet size they produce, larger at the top and smaller at the bottom. The Hypro Guardian Air and Guardian Air Twin (GAT) consistently deliver the finest droplets of any AI nozzle and are approximately a 1/3 rd the size of the largest the Teejet TTI So if your overriding concern is drift reduction then you should use one of the nozzles in the top half of the list. If on the other hand you want drift control combined with efficacy equivalent in most cases to a standard flat fan you should choose a nozzle from the lower portion of the chart. 15 Variable Pressure (VP)
Features Hold pattern down to 1 bar Mixed spray quality FastCap option available 110⁰ or 80⁰ spray angles Benefits Ideal for spray controllers Ideal for a range of targets Easy to fit Suit different boom heights and cap inclines Front view showing pattern HYPRO NOZZLE TRAINING

16 Variable Pressure (VP)
– 3 bar ‘Fine’ spray 2 VP015 in a Twin Cap – 3 bar ‘Fine’ spray HYPRO NOZZLE TRAINING

17 Variable Pressure (VP)
An extended range flat fan spray contains finer drops that helps wet smaller targets in the autumn and early spring It is also an excellent general purpose spray where drift is not a problem HYPRO NOZZLE TRAINING

18 VPTech Features Benefits Hold pattern down to 1 bar
Mixed spray quality 30 degree incline Built in cap and seal Fully sealed 2nd outlet 110⁰ or 80⁰ spray angles Benefits Ideal for spray controllers Ideal for a range of targets Ideal for small grass weeds Easy to fit No chemical trapped Suit different boom heights & cap inclines Alternate for best efficacy HYPRO NOZZLE TRAINING

19 VPTech An inclined 80⁰ spray angle gives a similar spray pattern as a 110⁰ spray angle spraying straight down A narrower spray angle reduces the proportion of finer droplets Inclined spray 110⁰ angle = wider spray footprint Inclined spray 80⁰ angle Straight down 110⁰ angle

21 VPTech This field of Linseed has been sprayed with just one post emergence grass weed Herbicide. The sprayer used was fitted with two types of nozzle Vertical 17.5 Blackgrass heads/m2 Inclined 6.3 Blackgrass heads/m2 Here is further evidence of the success of angled nozzles in a trial site in Cambridgeshire. This field of Linseed has been sprayed with just one post emergence grass weed Herbicide. The previous year the field had been used for Wheat. The sprayer used was fitted with two types of nozzle – on one half of the boom standard flat fans were fitted and on the other, nozzles having the same spray angle and flowrate but with a 40 degree forward facing incline were fitted. So to repeat the only difference between the two half's of the boom is the angle of incline. The black lines outline the tramline and you can make out a higher density of mature brownish coloured black grass on the left – the side of the boom fitted with standard flat fans. The right hand side, fitted with the angled nozzles is much cleaner leading us conclude that the angle of incline improved contact and therefore control. Standard flat fans Inclined flat fan spray HYPRO NOZZLE TRAINING

22 VPTech The spray quality and incline of VPTech are designed to give good control of small grass weeds It is also ideal for contact acting chemicals on larger canopies such as potato blight fungicides HYPRO NOZZLE TRAINING

23 ESI (Liquid Fertiliser Nozzle)
Features 6 offset outlets Solid streams Compact Fastcap Durable pre-orifice Protected outlets Benefits Excellent fertiliser distribution, not prone to blockage Minimal retention and crop scorch Prevents damage, easily fitted and removed Resists abrasion Prevents damage Six streams HYPRO NOZZLE TRAINING
