SmartWay is an EPA initiative which works to advance sustainable transportation supply chains
The Eco-Locomotives in the Macon and Pittsburgh yards are installed with Sharepower Systems certified by SmartWay
These projects demonstrate to the EPA that NS is committed to environmentally friendly innovations

6. Pittsburgh Doublestack Clearance Project
Construction proposed at 9 bridge-track intersections to allow for doublestacked intermodal traffic to run on the Pittsburgh Line, rather than the Mon Line

11. Biden Visits Memphis Regional Intermodal Facility

The intermodal facility was funded in part by a $52.5million grant through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009
