Informed doctors = better care 91% resolution Your medical history disclosure provides Teladoc doctors with the information they need to make an accurate diagnosis. You must complete your medical history disclosure to request a consult. You’ll hear many telehealth providers tout the number of doctors in their networks. But what does that really tell you? Is network size a true gauge of quality and efficiency? Teladoc takes a different view and a different approach. We believe that more doctors do not equal better doctors. We believe engaged doctors equal better doctors. Each of our Teladoc doctor averages 50+ consults per month, so that they are practiced in the art of telemedicine. In other words, they get really good at what they do. The combination of high call volume and evidence-based guidelines experience, gives them an efficiency and expertise that other telehealth provider doctors lack if they do only one or two consults a month. In the same way that, if you needed a triple heart bypass, you wouldn’t select a surgeon who only does one or two of these a year. While keeping doctors engaged, we also ensure minimal wait times. We manage our network size to accommodate the number of consults requested. Speed-to-consult response time dictates the number of doctors per shift. And, the more consults each doctor performs, wait time times decrease. Quality, experience and engagement are the true measure of network value.
