Discussion Why a CBRN WO
Provide the Army with a CBRN Technical Expert at all levels of command WO capable of performing both tactical and technical requirements (less emphasis on leadership experience) Decrease number of Branch Detail officers accessed into the Chemical Corps (HRC estimated between 30-50% decrease) APPROVED ON 8 JULY 2008 BY THE ARMY G1

Warrant Officer Eligibility
WO1/CW2 must — - Have 20/20 Correctable Vision & Normal Color Discrimination - Normal Hearing - U.S. Citizen, Secret Security Clearance - MOS qualified in MOS 74D (CBRN Specialist) - Completed MOS 74D BNCOC Course Years Time in Service - Successfully complete the CBRN Warrant Officer Basic Course (CWOBC)

Required Training After board selection and notification, a WO candidate must complete the following training — - WO Candidate Course, Ft Rucker, AL (2 weeks DL, 4 weeks resident) - Basic Officer Leadership Course (BOLC II), Ft Sill, OK or Ft Benning, GA (6 weeks resident) - CBRN Warrant Basic Course, Ft Leonard Wood, MO (13 Weeks resident)

Implementation Timeline
FY10 – Recruit and Access first 14 WO1s FY11 - First Graduates from WOCS and CWOBC End FY11 - First set of TOE Revisions, first group of WO1s assigned to units - LT positions in Bn S2 of the 2nd, 23rd, 83rd Chemical Battalions - LT positions in 11 FA battalions
