Cultural Competence European Youth Work Convention 2015:
Critical Practice – fostering inclusion while respecting traditions & differences (CE-EU, 2016) Council of Europe (2011: 2): “Cultural …competences encompass an ability to acquire, use, and make changes in culture for diverse culture in Europe to flourish …richness preserved & protected” Cultural Competence is enhanced by Reflective Practice, even in a humanitarian and emergency context in which youth work is provided to adolescent refugees and migrants (Unfortunately – received so little attention in Youth Work Discourses)

Human Rights goes together with social justice –Human Rights as bedrock for Social Justice (Wronka, 2017) Council of Europe: the guarantee of human rights for ALL who are physically in the territory of the member states (European Convention on Human Rights) Youth Work: Racism, Sexism, Classism, homophobia Concepts: injustices, violence, oppression, marginalisation, powerlessness and so on.
