Title Text
5
The food supply chain
6
Increased Globalisation
the food supply routes are increasingly long-distance and multi-modal presenting challenges to maintaining optimal temperature control during storage handling distribution across a wide range of different temperature ranges according to the products specifications
7
Temperature Controlled Conditions
fruit and vegetables meats and fish products milk and dairy products readymade dishes, finished convenience food frozen food like ice-cream or frozen pizza Flowers and pharmaceuticals
14
Title Point 1 Point 2 Point 3 Point 4
15
Temperature Controlled Logistics
These products are stored in different temperature ranges from roughly -25°C to °C according to product specifications in Ambient Chilled Frozen And all required ranges in between - areas of the temperature controlled warehouse
16
Temperature Controlled Logistics
From the cold store the goods are then transported with refrigerated transporter to a distribution centre or directly to the retail facility / supermarket E-commerce and now players like Amazon Fresh present new challenges for temperature controlled logistics
17
Temperature Controlled Logistics
All chilled and frozen food as well as temperature-controlled pharmaceutical products are stored in a cold store at least once during their journey from production to the consumer
18
Temperature Control along the supply chain
Has a major impact on the quality and safety of food and pharma products Maintaining a consistent optimal temperature throughout the food supply chain extends shelf life, enhances food safety and prevents food waste In the pharma cold chain, reliable temperature control becomes ever more critical to provide safe products
19
Temperature Controlled Logistics
ECSLA Member companies are a crucial link in the food supply chain connecting producers and processing companies with retailers and ultimately with the consumer
