Example: “Tropical Fruit Smoothies” Can tell you a little about the food Example from above tells us its a beverage that has fruit in it

Example: “Tropical Fruit Smoothies” 4- 6oz servings This recipe will fill four 6oz cups

5 Time Reading a Recipe How long to make the food from start to finish
How long it will take you to prep How long it will take you to bake (if applicable)

6 Ingredients Reading a Recipe
A list of items you will need to make a recipe Measurement of quantity for each ingredient Example: 2 cups of water Gather ingredients and measure them before starting to cook!!! Listed in order of use in recipe.

7 Directions Reading a Recipe Steps to take to make the recipe.
