8. Getting the Tooling Right
With a raft of tool design and management experience 3D World will refine the mould design for optimized tool manufacture.
Our in house expertise means, we can also design and/or fully specify the tooling standard prior to placing an order. We appreciate that some customers use there own tooling sources and are happy to liaise with them through tooling manufacture.

At 3D World we specialize in selection of right raw material to produce long life moulds.
These types of moulds provides parts of high quality level throughout the service life of the same, however, the amortized cost of the tooling can be substantially lower than that of traditional steel tools.

13. 3D Inspection (Dimensional Inspection)
Measurement for Inspection & Analysis
The 3D measurement data from our scanners and PCMMs offers a comprehensive definition of a physical object that is used for measurement, inspection, comparison and reporting. When a part is defined by millions of points, you can see subtle deviations, slight variations and fine details, which gives you the confidence that a part (or mould) meets your specifications. To deliver the best of both worlds, we combine 3D scanning with our measurement tools to deliver precise dimensions on geometric shapes.
Once we gather all of the measurements, we use 3D scanner software programs to generate 3D laser mapping, first article inspection reports, statistical process reports and 3D models for computer simulation and analysis programs.
