IMPORTANT !!! READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS for purchasing your textbook and access to Connect BEFORE registering online (through Blackboard) with Connect. Both the textbook AND access to Connect are MANDATORY for all students, whether you study online OR on campus. The new version of your textbook, Puntos de partida – 9th edition, is being published in special editions for UTA, with one textbook per level (SPAN SPAN SPAN 2313). The Level 1 Textbook, for SPAN 1441, is sold in the UTA Bookstore as a “package” and INCLUDES access codes to Connect (including the e-text) which are good for 24 months. Therefore, even though the registration process online allows you to purchase access to CONNECT directly online, DO NOT DO THIS because: If you pay directly online for access, you will have to pay again when you purchase the textbook because it is not sold separately without access. NOTE: For students who are on financial aid and have not received funds for purchasing course materials, you may choose the FREE TRIAL version, which lasts for 3 weeks. Again, if you do this, when you do purchase access, you must buy the hard copy of the book sold with access for the reasons listed above.
