The magnetic properties of nanoparticles are largely determined by the product of their volume (V) and intrinsic magnetocrystalline anisotropy (K) through the expression TB~KV, where TB is the magnetic freezing temperature.

We can controllably increase TB by a factor of two by tuning the size of the nanoparticles.
We can increase K by doping with Co, which increases TB
