Trauma Informed Schools Initiative
Required DESE to consult the Department of Mental Health and Department of Social Services for assistance in fulfilling the requirements of this section; provide information regarding the trauma-informed approach to all school districts; offer training on the trauma-informed approach to all school districts, which must include information on how schools can become trauma-informed schools; and develop a website about the trauma-informed schools initiative.

Legislative Taskforce on Dyslexia
Task force is to make recommendations for a statewide system for identification, intervention, and delivery of supports for students with dyslexia. DESE is to develop guidelines for appropriate screening of students for dyslexia, and necessary support for students with dyslexia and related disorders. These guidelines shall be consistent with the findings and recommendations of the task force.

Legislative Taskforce on Dyslexia
Beginning in , each school district and charter school shall conduct dyslexia screenings for students in the appropriate year consistent with the guidelines developed by DESE; provide reasonable classroom support consistent to the guidelines developed by DESE; and offer and include 2 hours of in-service training for all practicing teachers regarding dyslexia and related disorders which counts as 2 hours of professional development. .

Career and Technical Education (CTE) Certificate
Students may earn CTE certificate in addition to their high school graduation diploma. Students entering high school in school year and thereafter shall be eligible to earn a CTE certificate. Students must meet all requirements in order to receive the CTE certificate.

CTE Certificate Criteria
Meet all graduation requirements of local school district Qualify as a CTE concentrator (3 credits in a single CTE program area) Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 point scale Pass an approved Technical Skill Assessment (TSA) and/or earn an approved Industry Recognized Credential (IRC)

CTE Certificate Criteria
Complete a minimum of 50 hours of appropriate work-based learning experiences aligned with the CTE area of concentration Maintain at least a 95% attendance record overall for grades Demonstrate attainment of soft-skills/business skills Achieve a score at or above the state standard on any department-approved measure(s) of college and career readiness
