It slipped my mind = I forgot about it.

5 Y: Dan asked me to pick some things up from the shop.
T: Did you forget what he asked you to buy? Y: No., no. I remember – he wrote a list for me. T: so that should not be a problem then. Y: I have some work to do before the party. It completely slipped my mind. T: Oh, you forgot about it.

6 Y: So I don’t have enough time to buy all the things now.
Could you please do me a favour and go to the shop instead of me? T: OK. No problem. I was planning to go to a shop anyways. Y: Great. You saved me Tamara. Let me know how much money you spend. I’ll pay you back. T: No worries. I’ll take the receipt from the shop.
