The Principles of design are some of the most common principles for deciding how to arrange the elements of your artwork. They frame the way you arrange items, how much of each element to use, how little, how big, how bold or subtle, and many other decisions you will make as an artist. The Principles of Design

55 Create A composition that has strong Emphasis
Create A composition that has strong Emphasis. A composition that has strong Emphasis should draw your eye to a specific point in the composition, and hold it there. It may go directly there, or it may enter and follow a path leading to the point of emphasis. Create a drawing that uses color or contrast to create emphasis. Your drawing should be an original drawing, using correct pencil shading techniques and/or color pencil techniques, and include a high degree of detail. Your Assignment
