2. This is your FINAL schedule
This is your FINAL schedule. You must show it to each teacher throughout the day. You must have a WHITE schedule with the words “FINAL SCHEDULE” to be admitted into each of your classes.
Changes to your current schedule will be considered ONLY IF:
a. You are a SENIOR missing a course you must have to meet graduation requirements;
b. You are scheduled for a course you have already taken and passed;
c. You are scheduled for a course for which you did not take or pass the prerequisite
(e.g. scheduled for Spanish 2 and did not pass Spanish 1);
You have more than one class scheduled for a period or are missing a class for one period
(go to the counseling office only during the period that is missing or multiple, not before).
3. For students that wish to discuss their schedule with a counselor, you must go to the school counseling office for a Schedule Change Request Form. DO NOT go to the Counseling Office during class time. These schedule change appointments will begin on Monday, January 9, 2017.

3. Bell Ringer: Miercoles el cuatro de Enero
The Republic of Cuba is the largest of all islands in the Caribbean. From the air, the island of Cuba resembles a crocodile or alligator and so Cuba is often referred to in Spanish as "El Cocodrilo" or "El Caimá". Cuba has a population of 11 million people. Baseball is the most popular sport. The game of dominoes is extremely popular.

Spanish 1 Project : on page 138 is your new vocabulary. On a blank white sheet of paper you will draw a house plan labeling all the items with vocabulary words. Make sure to use the correct articles(pg140) before each noun.

5. Spanish 2 January 4-6 Happy New Year!
Bring your books to class this week. Our new unit is Las Antillas which covers the Caribbean islands: Cuba, República Dominicana, y Puerto Rico
Project 1: on page 126 is your new vocabulary. On a blank white sheet of paper you will draw a house plan labeling all the items with vocabulary words.

6. Project 2: you will all be put into groups and design a town center using all the vocabulary from the “El Barrio” box on page 126
You will meet together with your group and draw a sample of your downtown on a sheet of paper. Divide evenly who will draw,label and color each building as well as the sidewalks and streets.

9. Jueves el cinco de Enero
The Dominican Republic:The DR is the oldest country of the Americas and it was discovered by Christopher Columbus on his first trip in Cabarete Bay, located on the North Coast of the DR, is the Kiteboarding Capital of the World. From January through March, Samaná Bay is taken over by humpback whales. Sugar, tobacco, cocoa and coffee are four of the DR’s main agricultural exports.

10. Viernes el seis de Enero: Puerto Rico is considered a territory of the United States. Its official name is the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and is home to 3.6 million people and is one of few in the world that is officially bilingual. Christopher Columbus discovered the island in 1493, one year after he discovered the Americas. He named it San Juan Bautista, after John the Baptist. Salsa is Puerto Rico’s greatest contribution to Latin popular music. Basketball, volleyball and boxing are the most popular sports in Puerto Rico. The largest telescope in the world is located in Puerto Rico.
