You will need to decide on a few basics for your character in order to get started.
Take out a piece of paper and spend 10 minutes deciding on the following details for your protagonist:
Gender
Name
Age
Occupation (Job)
Family members

3. Sketch him/her out
Try and visualize your character. Underneath your “basics” information, spend 15 minutes drawing a sketch of your character.
Consider:
Hairstyle
Facial features/expression
Height
Outfit

4. Give me one simple sentence about this man

5. Describe your character
Example: Bob is a middle aged businessman who gets angry very easily. Under your sketch, spend 10 minutes writing a few sentences describing YOUR character

6. Character traits
Using the list of character traits, pick out some traits that describe your character.

7. Extra time?
Do the same things (basics, sketch, descriptions, traits) for some other main characters of your story (antagonist,
