2. Introduction
For about 2-3 months, we have been testing the cost, absorbency, and wet strength of 5 brands of different paper towels. We believe that Bounty is the best brand because it is the most absorbent and the strongest while it is wet. It’s important because you want to buy a brand that can absorb the most, and not tear too easily.

3. The absorbency OF PAPER TOWELS
We tested the absorbency by wrapping each brand of paper towels on a cup with a rubber band. The absorbency is how much the paper towel can suck up from liquid. Then, we poured 10 mL of water onto the center of the paper towel slowly. After 30 seconds, we took off the towel and dumped the extra water into a graduated cylinder. We then did 10 ml minus the amount left in the cylinder to find out how much the paper towel absorbed. Then we repeated 3 times and found the average.

4. Absorbency
Wausau, our school’s current brand, only absorbed 1.63 milliliters of water, while Bounty absorbed milliliters of water. The difference was milliliters. That’s about 3 TIMES MORE THAN WAUSAU!

5. Wet Strength Bounty 1749.78 grams 2230.87 grams Wausau
Wet strength is how much weight the wet paper towel can hold. First, we found the weight of the can. We tested the wet strength of the paper towels by wrapping a paper towel around the tin bucket (shown in pictures) Then, we secured it using a plastic hoop. After that, we poured 75 mL of water onto the center of the paper towel slowly. Then we waited for 30 seconds using a timer. then, we started putting weights on every two seconds until the towel broke. Then, we took out the last weight put and used a scale to find the weight in grams. The weight was subtracted by the weight of the can. That’s how much the towel held. We then repeated it 2 more times. Then, we switched brands and repeated the steps.

6. Wet Strength
Wausau, our current school brand, only held the weight of grams. Bounty held the weight of Bounty held grams more than Wausau. That’s so many grams!!!!!

8. Conclusion
Overall, we think that Bounty is the best because it is the most absorbent and it is the strongest while it is wet. Even if it’s expensive, it’s worth it because it can hold the most water without easily ripping.
