2. Placement
Purpose:
To ensure that Fellows-Elect choose the most appropriate university program with the appropriate academic match and an environment that meets the Fellows’ individual needs.

3. Placement Expected Outcome:
To choose a location of study, refine study objectives and select a university if FE gains more than one acceptance.
Considerations for selecting an admission offer include:
Best fit (safety, fit, stretch)
Strategic University Partnership
Cost sharing
Cohort building
Learning Environment
Linkages with other Universities
Requires:
Dynamic Interaction (IP + PP + FE) = Successful Placement

6. Fellow-Elect Responsibilities
Fellow-Elect (FE) is expected to actively take responsibility for researching programs and to work with the International Partner and Placement Partner. FE’s specific responsibilities include:
Communicate any prior admission contacts to IP.
Discontinue self placement., but are encouraged to conduct research on fields of study at different universities.
Produce and enhance Dossier
Work with IP and Placement Partner to develop Submission Plan for up to 4 university programmes (including a local/ regional university).
Make final decision regarding university program in consultation with IP.

9. Fellow-Elect Additional Responsibilities
Observe satisfactory professional standards and maintain a high standard of conduct .
Participate in local or regional activities related to your IFP Fellow-Elect status and in the network of Fellows-Elect.
Stay in home country during the Fellow-Elect period
Encouraged to seek other funding opportunities to enhance application and curriculum vitae, while making IFP resources available for more IFP Fellows.
Required to report any other fellowship awards to your IP
Encouraged to maintain your position with your current employer.
Secure employer’s permission to pursue full-time study
Make necessary financial and care arrangements for dependents during pre-fellowship and fellowship periods.

10. Fellow-Elect Additional Responsibilities
Keep IP informed of changes in your address and contact information
Report any physical or mental illness or family emergency that may prevent you from completing your proposed academic program or application process to IP
Reporting any funds paid to you by IFF, your IP, or any other organization involved in IFP during the Fellow-Elect period to local tax authorities and making all tax payments as required

11. Termination / Suspension of Contract
IFF reserves the right to terminate or suspend your Fellow-Elect status in its sole discretion or IP may also recommend to IFF termination or suspension if FE:
Violates any laws and regulations of your home country.
Fails to observe satisfactory professional standards or to complete the requirements of university submission plan and the Fellow-Elect period.
Fails to gain admission to an academic program within one year of the Fellow-Elect award letter.
Makes a material misrepresentation in the application form or any other IFP documents.
Is physically or mentally unable to carry out the academic plan of study.
Takes any actions during the Fellow-Elect period that places at risk the work of IFF and/or the FE’s ability to effectively fulfill IFP’s goals.
