2 Background Information
We have been studying cells in vitro and in vivo. We will be inserting the nanites into the colon via a depository. The treatment will target ONLY the cancer cells, destroying them entirely. This treatment will target the cells using a cancer cell that we will have to take from the patient, preliminary to this procedure. The nanites will be inserted into a depository, the depository will dissolve, revealing the nanites. The nanites are programmed to destroy the target cells’ nucleus, then destroy everything else in the cell. These nanites have tiny almost flagella-like in comparison, that will attack the cancer cells. Background Information

3 The benefits of this treatment is that colon cancer will hopefully be cured.
A potential risk is that the nanotechnology will not work The nanotechnology may also simply malfunction, and not reach its destination. Another way it could malfunction is it could become a cancer cell, and not destroy any other cancer cells, but help the cancer spread throughout the body. Benefits and risks

4 The objective of this trial is for the nanites to destroy all of the cancer cells in the patients’ colon. Objective

5 The purpose of this trial is to hopefully provide adequate, and promising treatment to people with colon cancer. Purpose

6 We will be doing an open trial, which means that everyone will know what we are doing, and how we are doing it. Below is the trial design. Design

7 The selection for this clinical trial needs to consist of people who have colon cancer, and most likely do not have any other choice, or people who volunteer. People who do not have colon cancer will not be able Participate in this trial. The people who qualify for this trial need to know the risks and dangers of doing this. Subject Selection

8 We will be taking many precautions and safety measures such as having a full medical team on standby (including anesthesiologist), Safety Procedures
