I’m going to be talking about our solar system.

A star is a huge ball of very hot gases that give off light, heat, and other kinds of energy. A star is classified by luminosity and color. luminosity is measure in magnitudes and color is measured by temperature. A constellation is a recognizable pattern that is traditionally named after its apparent form or identified with a mythological figure. Stars can also create a formation in the sky. When that happens it is called a constellation. Modern astronomers divide the sky into eighty-eight constellations with defined boundaries. Leo is a specific constellation. Stars Our sun is an example of a star, which is a ball of hot gases that give off light, heat, and other kinds of energy. A star classified is a luminosity and color.

Jupiter and Mars Jupiter is the biggest planet in our solar system. It’s temperature is Fahrenheit. Jupiter is 86,881.4 miles long million miles away from the Sun. Scientists do not yet know if a solid surface exists on Jupiter. Jupiter's clouds are thought to be about 30 miles (50 km) thick. Below this there is a 13,000 mile (21,000 km) thick layer of hydrogen and helium which changes from gas to liquid as the depth and pressure increase. Mars is 4,222 miles long. Mars temp is -67° F. Mars is million miles from the Sun. Mars has a rocky surface. Mars is one of the four terrestrial planets. Mercury, Venus, and Earth are the other three. All of the terrestrial planets are made up of rock and metals. The remaining planets are classified as the outer gas giants.

Comets Meteors and A comet is a celestial object consisting of a nucleus of ice and dust and, when near the sun, a “tail” of gas and dust particles pointing away from the sun. A meteor is a small body of matter from outer space that enters the earth's atmosphere, becoming incandescent as a result of friction and appearing as a streak of light. Meteoroid - A small particle from an asteroid or comet orbiting the Sun. Meteor - A meteoroid that is observed as it burns up in the Earth's atmosphere – a shooting star. Meteorite - A meteoroid that survives its passage through the Earth's atmosphere and impacts the Earth's surface. A specific comet is the Halley’s comet. Since its first predicted return in 1759, Halley's Comet has come back to us three times, in 1835, 1910, and most recently in 1985–86. Historical records, unknown to Edmond Halley, show that the Comet's previous appearances stretch back far into the past, long before comets were recognized to be periodic.

Technology A type of technology is a satellite. Another type of technology is a computer.
