Activities and lessons learned under the project
BCRCS- Senegal WHERE DOES AFRICA STAND ON THE GLOBAL E-WASTE ISSUE? Side event at Basel/COP Regional Centers Fair May 1st 2013, Geneva, ExCOPs 2013 Organized by BCCC-Africa/BCRCs in Egypt, Senegal and South Africa in partnership with the “e-waste African Alliance” Activities and lessons learned under the project BCRC/SCRC-Senegal

Activities As listed in the project document the mainly role of BCRC Senegal is to participate on activities and to revise reports produced by EMPA and national consultants In the same way BCRC Senegal participated to others activities in relationship with the project

Lessons learned It was a rich experience to collaborate (exchanges, discussions, sharing information, etc.) with several and different stakaholders in national, regional and international levels Visits of sites (ports, markets, plants, institutions, etc.) were very benefit

Con’t In some case we faced to certain problems relating to low administrative procedures and coordination and some activities postponed one, two times.

Next steps Publications and CD Roms including the training material
Relevant documents translated into French will be posted on BCRC- Senegal Website: Setting up of network ; Needs assessment ; Training programs ; Joint collaboration/ IMPEL/BCRCs-Countries-SBC

Recomandations To elaborate a training programme and to find the way to organize training workshops to capitalize other experiences and studies had in other countries particularly in Africa
