Grammar – Subject Verb Agreement
When the naming part (subject) in a sentence tells about one person, place, or thing, an –s is usually added to the verb so it will agree, or match. When the naming part tells about more than one thing, do not add an –s to the verb. A rooster crows at nightfall to welcome the moon. The animals worry that they won’t be fed.
