Component 4 is universal across content areas and requires candidates to analyze their teaching in the following ways:

Complete the form individually first for 20 minutes, paying close attention to the level 4 rubric
We will then compare with colleagues

Fill out a brainstorming chart where candidates list activities they’re involved in related to a student need/professional need
Also make big picture connections between all aspects of this component (check out what reflection section of written commentary is asking candidates to think about)

Just when you think this Component in done, there’s the Written Commentary!
With your certificate area colleagues,
Review the Standards for your certificate area that are assessed as part of Component 4. Which standards are included, which are not?
Then, connect the standards to each specific prompt in the Written Commentary.
