Lesson #2 Complete Subjects & Complete Predicates

All sentences have two parts: the subject and the predicate.

The SUBJECT tells who or what the sentence is about
The SUBJECT tells who or what the sentence is about. (“WHO” or “WHAT”) The PREDICATE tells something about the subject. (“DOES” OR “IS”)

EXAMPLES:. Complete subject. Complete Predicate. The cat
EXAMPLES: Complete subject Complete Predicate The cat ran behind the sled. Peru is in South America. One person after another disappeared into the cave. The small garden was full of roses and tulips. The tall man laughed.

Draw a vertical line between the complete subject and the complete predicate.
