Has been completed and tested extensively
Currently in Inactive mode – System Office will activate them
As part of the ACCS Group, all colleges inherit this set up
All items with “**” indicate they come from the Group Administrator
Can only be adjusted at the Group Level or System Office level
Colleges can not change placement rules but can make local edits

7. Background Questions Log in as Institutional Administrator
Will inherit to all your Sites
Go to Test Set Up > Background Questions > Local Questions
Create your questions and answers
Go to Test Set Up > Background Questions > Questions Groups
Create a Question Group for your College
Add your questions to that group

8. Branching Profiles – Adding Questions
Log in as Institutional Administrator
Go to Test Set Up > Branching Profile
Select the Branching Profile you want to edit
You can’t edit anything with “**” so you need to Copy and save and make your Edits
Decide where you want your local questions to be added in the testing process
Add a new Rule of Background Question Group in the location you want to insert the questions
Select the Questions Group you created from the dropdown menu
Save
Inactivate the Branching Profile you edited with “**” so you don’t accidentally administer the wrong tests.

9. Placement Rules – Editing Course Placements
Log in as Institutional Administrator
Go to Placement Set Up > Placement Rules
Select the View Action to see which Rules need to be edited.
You can’t edit anything with “**” so you need to Copy and Save and make your Edits

Once you have Copied the Placement Rule you want to Edit:
Name the new Rule – use the same numbering so the rules sort in the right order
Select the edit icon
VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!
DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING BUT THE PLACEMENT COMMENTS
INACTIVATE THE ORIGINAL PLACEMENT RULE YOU COPIED OR YOU WILL HAVE DUPLICATE PLACEMENTS

Log in as Institutional Administrator
Go to Placement Set Up > Courses
Add the Course you want to add to your Rules
Complete the information in the pop up box. Click Save.
DO NOT ADD A COURSE COMMENT

Go to Placement Set up > Placement Rules
Click Add

Add a Condition:
Select Single Test Score, Click Add
Make selections and Save.

15. Cross Institutional Score Reporting
Members of an ACCUPLACER Group are able to retrieve student score reports from each other.
This functionality retrieves the report only---it does not move the data itself.
Students must provide the following information to the retrieving institution: where originally tested, last name, first name, and DOB. These are all required fields.
Only Institutional Administrators and Institutional Reporters have the authority to retrieve score reports.
Institutions must indicate they have the student’s written permission to retrieve the report.
In the event of multiple students with this same information, the student must then provide the Student ID # used at the time of testing.
