IBM Cognos BI for the Mobile Workforce
Experience insight wherever you are Uninterrupted productivity with quick and easy access to analytics anywhere you go Interact with information like never before Rich, visual and interactive experience whether you are offline or online Confidently and easily deploy BI to any device Single authoring and administrative environment to deliver secure, relevant and reusable content Language support for native iPad The messaging is about "Cognos BI for the Mobile Workforce" - meaning the goal is to not just talk about the native iPad release for RP1 but all of the great mobile capabilities that are another great way to consume BI. We have our BB, Symbian and WIndows Mobile support we have had for 6 years - at the beginning of this year we added RIM PlayBook and Android support and we are now bringing to market our native iPad release with Active Report capabilities which cannot only be used off line on the iPad but can also be used offline for the mobile worker who is just taking their laptop down the hall into a meeting. The message describes a complete picture of online and offline capabilities that support the leading market devices (smartphoines and tablets) as well as leading operating systems along with those that are still using a laptop but need to have the most recent information at their fingertips. Competitive differentiation This release gets us back in the Mobile Market as a serious contender.
