We had a lot of fun making predictions and reading the stories to find out if their predictions came true! First Grade Parent Meeting: We would like to meet with you to discuss “All Things 1st Grade”! Some of the topics are the websites for Go Math, Reading A-Z and XtraMath. Other topics will include Saxon, Daily 5 and anything else pertaining to first grade. Halloween info: Children may wear their Halloween costumes to school on Friday October 28. We will have a costume parade in the gym around 8:15 in the morning. All parents are welcome to attend the parade. Our class Halloween party will be after lunch. Only pre-scheduled and approved volunteers may attend the class party. Please keep in mind that children will have to wear their Halloween costumes all day at school! They will have to be able to use the restroom on their own and make it through recess while wearing their costume. Plan accordingly! With all the “scary clown” reports in the news, we have decided there will be NO clown or gory costumes this year.
