Objectives strengthening mutual knowledge and understanding between Turkish Chambers and their counterparts in the EU, promoting the integration of European and Turkish business communities, ensuring a stronger awareness of the opportunities and challenges of Turkey’s future accession to the EU in both Turkey and in the EU, establishing long term partnerships between European and Turkish chambers. Activities Project group meetings Online communication system for project officers Project website in English and Turkish Online platform for European and Turkish chambers Survey to chambers’ members to find out opinions and expectations on Turkey’s future accession to the EU Visits to partner chambers in Belgium, Croatia and Italy and to associate partner in Finland Guide of best practices by the chambers EU Strategy for Turkish Chamber of Shipping Visit to EU Institutions Bi-monthly newsletter to disseminate information Conference and networking event bringing sector representatives and chambers together 2 webinars in Istanbul aimed at Chambers, their members and other parties of interest ETCF-II is co-funded by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey TOBB

Expected Results Online database for EU-TR Chambers EU Strategy Document for Turkish Chamber of Shipping Stronger communication with institutions in the EU benchmarking Turkish Chamber of Shipping with its European counterparts, increasing understanding of the EU business practices in Turkey and of Turkish business practises in the EU, fostering opportunities for trade and investment, improving the institutional capacity of Turkish Chamber of Shipping, setting a successful example for prospective cooperation projects between EU-TR chambers.
