1. SIP/PLWEP Celebrations in kindergarten to grade 2 team 
Moving towards completing a k-2 writing continuum for early years. This lofty goal is progressing nicely and will be completed in the fall. 
March flexible grouping results grade 1&2 
Developed a numeracy checklist and implemented its use in term 2 kindergarten and grade 1 building blocks using achievement indicators as stated in the NB curriculum.
All k-2 classes participated in restorative circles.
PLUS – completed self-assessments to support 10 year education plan at two 10 day intervals.

2. SIP/PLWEP Celebrations in Grade 3 to 5 team 
Prime - Flexible grouping with guided reading practices resulted in 34% reading at grade level beginning of term 2  after 2nd round of interventions 51% reading at grade level!!! 68% increased their reading level!!! 
Immersion - Flexible grouping with guided reading practices resulted in 80% of students increasing their reading level, in some cases by as many as 3 levels!!! 
PLWEP - Mindfulness moments took place twice daily. This consistent practice was especially effective in the afternoons. Students self-assess twice daily using a “Zones” checklist as well as self-assess using a 4 point rubric on the academic progress. 

3. SIP/PLWEP Celebrations in Middle School 
61% received daily interventions (flexible grouping) in literacy (reading AND writing).
75% of these students increased their reading levels. Those who did not respond received interventions with increased frequency (pull outs)

Grade 8 district writing results in April… WOW!!! 

4. Teamwork at its best!!! Academics Behaviour
203/341 = 60% of students received interventions
21/341 = 6% of grade 1 & 2 students received enrichment
25/28 = 89% of staff provided interventions directly
15 students on behaviour support plans
35% of students struggle socially & emotionally (k- 8)
Management of plans – admin, guidance, EAs and homeroom teachers

7. How do you feel about your success?!
Taking the time to do circles was important to develop healthy relationships among the students. The students say "WE are a family". They care for each other therefore, they respect and want the best for the class which reflects on our learning in class. They often asked to have a circle session even if it was not scheduled. Every morning when we do mindful activities, modeling is important. I've had “student name” close his eyes, breath deeply and share that he felt the sand on his toes. We even shared that it was difficult to meditate at times and that we might need to redo it and breath deeper through the day. This mindfulness is in schools around the world. When students reflect on their day and take the time to think, it permits their mind to process everything and start fresh. For me, it's been a real success to include circles and mindfulness activities. Voilà, I was too excited not to share my views.
