Supplementary Fig. 1. Inhibition of PKA by the dominant negative PKA (dnPKA) did not block the isoproterenol-induced decrease of p300. H1299 cells were transfected with dnPKA and incubated for 24 h before treatment with 1 mM isoproterenol (IPO) for 30 min. Asterisks (*) indicate a statistically significant difference from the vector-transfected control; the double asterisks (**) represent a statistically significant difference from the isoproterenol-treated control. Supplementary Fig. 2. Inhibition of Epac by brefelden A (BFA) blocked the isoproterenol-induced decrease of p300. H1299 cells were treated with 1 mM isoproterenol (IPO) and 10 mg/ml of BFA for 30 min. Asterisks (*) indicate a statistically significant difference from the vehicle-treated control; the double asterisks (**) represent a statistically significant difference from the isoproterenol-treated control. Supplementary Fig. 3. (A) Effect of isoproterenol and 8-pCPT-cAMP on MAPKs. H1299 cells were treated with 1 mM isoproterenol (IPO) or 20 mM 8-pCPT-cAMP for 30 min before being analysed by western blotting.
