B.S. in Journalism from Florida A&M University Former newspaper journalist Collegiate Professional License Pre-K-3rd Grade Year 11 Fun fact: I love to read! 113 books in 2015.

Attendance Regular and prompt attendance is necessary for student success. School begins at 7:50 AM. (Morning work-7:30) Please let me know in advance if your child will be absent for an extended period of time. Make-up work will be provided after the student returns to school. “Worksheets don’t replace instruction.” Adequate time will be given to complete make-up assignments.

Birthdays Please refer to the Student Handbook for specific information regarding birthday and party foods and invitations at school. Non-food items to celebrate your child’s special day such as pencils, stickers and erasers are appropriate. Please do not send invitations for individual parties to school for distribution—avoid conflict and hurt feelings. Register with PTO for your directory

Additional information
SNACK: Working snack time, 1 healthy snack, water bottles OK. NO NUTS! THURSDAY FOLDERS: Empty, sign, and return Friday. Include classwork, office, PTO, and class information. Going paperless: PTO alerts (sign up), Registration, NLE newsletter LUNCH POLICY: Please send in a note if you plan to eat lunch with your child. Include your order from the cafeteria. You may bring a bag lunch, but no restaurant food please. DISMISSAL : Changes need to be received in the office before 12 noon. Call the office.
