This event will be organized by the European Weed Research Society (EWRS) Weed Mapping Working Group in cooperation with: Scope Target group Registration Graduate students and limited number of Institutions scientists to take knowledge and experience in implementation of classical and new tools (methods) in weed mapping through theoretical courses and practical training in fields. 20-25 students, with at least 4 semesters, MSc, Ph.D. students and a limited number of professionals in weed science, agronomy, crop protection or plant ecology. Applications should be send to Dr Michaela Kolarova Present fee calculations: a)125 € for students as early bird registration, 250 € for late registration. b)300 € for professionals Early bird registration should be completed by March 1st The program committee will decide on acceptance of early bird applicants by April 1st and thereafter the students have to deposit their fee by April 15th. Please, provide us with a short CV of your University or Professional career and consider the times for visa applications if required. Benefits Certificate of attendance, (ECTS) Objectives Methodological training in the collection of data Identification of weed frequency ranks Introduction to specific statistics and geostatistical tools Analysis of results in relation to environmental and farm data Analysis of the spatial weed distribution Production of weed maps Applications in precision weed control Venue: Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, Czech Republic Duration of the program: 6 days Tentative date: July, 2018 Weed mapping Literature Mueller- Dombois, D. and Ellenberg, H.
