3 SWOT ANALYSIS Strength
100 % Students’ Registration target achieved in 2016. Two (2) active Study centres opened since 2016 in Ahmednagar & Satara. Opening of Alibag/ Shrivardhan Study centre is in process. Appointment of Five Counsellors (Ahmednagar/Solapur/Pune/PCMC/Alibag) to cover allotted districts. Students’ visiting chapter office are guided for online registration & informed about class room teaching. One of the Co-opted members, Dr Pravin Kumar Bhoyar in Pune chapter Managing Committee is appointed from a prestigious Educational Institute- Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (SIMS) so that other colleges/schools may be approached. Weakness At times, colleges are reluctant to allot CAP session due to their own class schedule; internal exams. Dr Jyoti Gaikwad, Convenor, Board of Studies, Secretarial Practice of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Co-opted member of Pune Chapter of ICSI for 2015 & 2016 was from Govt Educational body. Pune chapter approached her so that CAP sessions may be arranged in Govt colleges. The proposal is still under consideration. Many times, colleges enquire about monetary benefits for arranging CAP sessions. Opportunities Reputed Colleges have Invited Pune Chapter for conducting a Mass CAP during the month of Jul/Aug 2017 with approximately students at a stretch. Pune Chapter is having more than members & 10,000 students Good number of Commerce, law & Management colleges (Educational hub) where CAP sessions may be organised subject to some incentives for colleges. PCS Members (Fresh) may be given some incentives for conducting CAP sessions. Threat 1. Students are appraised & motivated to register for CS course but students are feeling demotivated when they have to wait for training due to non availability of firms/corporates for training. 2. Students’ are thinking that Job opportunities as compared to other professional courses are very less.

4 Strategies for achieving target
Steps already undertaken Arrangement of CAP sessions within city & nearby areas- About 125 schools/colleges were approached for CAP session & regular follow up was made then 33 CAP sessions could be organised. Pune chapter will be organising CAP sessions in Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad , Ahmednagar, Alibag & Solapur. Dr. Jyoti Gaikwad, convenor Board of Studies, Secretarial Practice of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Co-opted member of Pune Chapter of ICSI for 2015 & 2016 was from Govt. Educational Body. Pune Chapter approached her so that CAP sessions may be arranged in Govt. Colleges. The proposal is still under consideration. Arrangement of CAP session was also discussed in various meeting conducted at Pune chapter viz. Students sub-committee meeting & also in Managing Committee meeting. Few CAP sessions were arranged in SNDT college (Govt College) Request has been made to Pune University for arranging college & students list. Opening of Study centres at various locations - Through study centre, students coming in those colleges are being motivated to join CS course. Appointment of counsellors -Counsellors have been appointed so that more & more CAP sessions can be arranged in all the allotted districts. Helpdesk facility at chapter- Each & every student visiting Pune chapter is guided to register for CS course. Pune chapter is regularly participating in Career Fairs to appraise students about CS course.

5 Steps to be undertaken All commerce colleges/schools will be approached within city as well as nearby/surrounding locations/areas to arrange CAP session during the year. Study centres will be properly guided for arrangement of CAP session-Month wise MIS to be submitted by respective study centres. Mega CAP session will be organised in Satara Study centre as well as in Pune in month of June/July. Appointed counsellors to be supervised /monitored for organising CAP sessions. counsellors meeting will be conducted on regular basis. Recently passed out CS members will be sensitized regarding conduct of CAP sessions. Proposal to HQ for Subject wise exemption to CA students may result in increase in registration. Success story sharing of key CS professionals .

6 Steps to increase registration
Appointment of contractual staff in study centres for students’ counselling who may also help in student registration & counsel them. Sale of Prospectus with minimum cost to students from chapter offices. Students visiting chapter offices always enquire about details in writing. Online registration process can be specified in prospectus .This will help the students to understand the details in better way. Placement opportunities to students after clearing Executive stage. Maximum CAP to be organised to convert them to CS students. CAP attendees may be called to take their interest/opinion. More Study centres to be opened for students’ counselling. All Members to be motivated to counsel their relatives to opt/register for CS course. CAP sessions to be arranged in remote areas to spread awareness OTC faculties will be motivated to counsel students’ in their respective colleges . Colleges to be requested to counsel students by arranging a half an hour session in their annual functions.
