3 ways to use essential oils with your pets
Aromatically Topically Internally

Aromatically Diffusing is best, since dogs and cats have very sensitive noses. Avoid putting oils on their noses.

Topically Apply diluted oils to your hands, pet your animal. Oil works it’s way down hair follicles and into skin. Apply oils to abdomen or feet. Too strong for noses or face.

Internally Add essential oils to your pet’s food or water bowl
Hide a capsule in peanut butter

Dogs 5 excellent oils to use
Frankincense- immune support, nervous system support Lavender- great for keeping calm, supporting integumentary system during “itchy” seasons Digestive Blend- helps support digestive system for when “dietary indiscretion” occurs

Dogs Repellant Blend- great for avoiding “tag alongs”
Myrrh- integumentary support, digestive support, immune support

Cats 5 excellent oils Helichrysum- supports integumentary system, immune system (not for puncture wounds) Grounding Blend- supports nervous system and helps cats stay calm Eucalyptus- supports respiratory system

Cats Geranium- integumentary system, helps manage inflammatory response Juniper berry- supports urinary system (specifically kidneys)

Cautions Melaleuca is controversial in cats. If concerned, use arborvitae as a substitute Watch for odd behaviors in pets- excessive panting, drooling, lethargy. Stop diffusing, give water, apply carrier oil to location of oils application Dilute for pets- they are smaller (generally) and their systems can be more sensitive
