28. LHC18 infrastructures consolidation (CV – EL – CRG) Summary
The master planning is very tight with no contingency.
The delivery of the SFA181 building and the extension to SE18 by SMB is critical path and cannot deviate from the planning. Civil engineering delays due to adverse weather conditions cannot be ignored.
It is imperative that EN-EL commission the new 18kV electrical sub station before/during the annual stop of 2018.
Increased site security and logistical risks are identified mainly from november 2017 to July A security guard and a Site manager are deemed necessary along with a revision of the site access infrastructure and procedures.
Maximum work must be realised and terminated before LS2 (Limited resources for CV and EL)
SM18 STOP for the infrastructure upgrade planned for two months (April and May 2019 for the EL - CV works + the CRG maintenance) with the restart of the existing Cryo installations at the start of June 2019.
