2 OSIRIS Data Exchange – ICDs
Instrument OSIRIS will provide OSIRIS will receive  Status PHILAE Lander Global albedo and composition maps, global terrain/shape, and local slopes, local composition, topography, and boulders of selected sites Lander ground proof on composition, 3-d topography, activity, thermal properties of material on surface and subsurface Lander requests are documented in RM document, OSIRIS-PHILAE ICD in iteration with Lander team (draft) VIRTIS Image data in clear for context, spectra in VIS, tbc VIS-NIR spectra, VIS for x-calibration, NIR for composition for ride alongs NDA proposal sent to VIRTIS ALICE Image data in clear for context, tbc UV spectral data from ride alongs NDA in iteration, ‘service’ images MIRO MIRO data from ride alongs NDA proposal sent to MIRO COSIMA Specific image data NAC and/or WAC in clear for context, jet geometry 3-d for selected cases, color filter data for combined analysis Dust characterization of individual grains for dust analysis as seen by OSIRIS, in dust jets and potential (uplifted) surface grains ICD iterated to v1/-, not signed yet CONSERT Shape of C-G Interior information, tbc No action yet ROSINA tbd GIADA As COSIMA? MIDAS RPC RSI Volume Mass No action yet, will share on density (as for Lutetia) In addition: ICD with Rosetta SGS concerning on site quicklook inspection of selected OSIRIS image data, no share with other instruments ICD with Rosetta MOC/FDyn on use of OSIRIS image data for navigation purposes, no share with other instruments

3 ICD Osiris/Lander (and baseline for others)
Preamble This is a statement concerning the data exchange between Osiris and the Lander Team on the basis of the Rosetta Science Management Plan, RO-EST-PL-0001 (AD1), defining the rules for the use of the proprietary data, the non-disclosure of the data to third parties, and the process of context publication in scientific manuscripts, PR material, and any form of internal and external presentation. Declaration The Osiris PI and Lander Lead Scientist (for the Lander Team and Lander PIs where applicable) agree to share data in both directions, i.e., Osiris providing images to the Lander team for landing site selection and as context for the scientific investigations of the Lander, and the Lander team providing images and other suitable data to the Osiris team for the purpose of context calibration of the instrument (ground truth).

4 ICD Osiris/Lander (and baseline for others)
Applicable Rules The proprietary data shall be kept on identified computers on both sides and shall not propagate by any means without notice and explicit agreement by the other party. The proprietary data shall be provided by the PI institute only (single-point interface, institute tbd for the lander). The data can be non-calibrated or calibrated according to the needs of the other party. The needs are to be justified, have to be traceable, and to be agreed upon (ref to applicable document). The proprietary data shall only be analyzed in the context of agreed investigations. The proprietary data shall not be made available or shown by any means to third parties, external, or internal within the Rosetta Science Team, without explicit agreement from the respective PI. The scientific interpretation of results is solely with the PI responsible for the data. Any use of data from the other party in scientific presentations, publications, PR, talks, etc., shall be accompanied by an agreed 'boiler plate' and credit line giving credit and acknowledgments to the PI and team providing the context to the investigation. In case of a conflict, the Osiris PI / Lander Lead Scientist is responsible for immediate action closing and, if requested, deleting all data of the other party until the conflict is resolved. The names of the team members having access to the proprietary data by any means (work station, viewing, etc.) shall be listed and forwarded to the Osiris PI and Lander Lead Scientist, respectively. The Osiris PI and Lander Lead Scientist (for the Lander Team and Lander PIs where applicable) agree not to process or alter the data of the other party by any means.  Definition: Proprietary data = Instrument data and data products produced within the proprietary phase of the mission and provided before formal delivery to the PSA/PDS archive.  Applicable documents: AD1, Rosetta Science Management Plan, RO-EST-PL-0001.
