2
We are the Year 6 class at Windsor Primary School
3
Design brief: To design and create an environmentally friendly product in order to earn money.
4
What will we do with the money we make?
We made a list of what we could do with the money we make. Some of us said we wanted it to go to school events, others said they wanted it to go to local charities.
5
We managed to narrow it down to four ideas – Imagine Appeal (a charity which supports our local children's hospital), Hope ( a charity to support autistic children), a class residential trip, ora party for the whole school. We thought about the pros and cons for each idea.
6
So which charity did we decide to support.....
We asked every member of our class to vote for one of the four charities. We put the results of our vote into a pie chart. As you can see, both the Imagine Appeal and Class Residential received the same amount of votes. So we will split our takings between the two.
7
What are we going to make?
First of all we made a list of all the recyclable materials we could use. It included..... foil Coca Cola Cans bottles jam jars bottle tops newspaper cartons paper
8
Next.... We thought about what we could make. We decided that we wanted to either make picture frames or snow globes. We used the internet to help us think of some ideas.
9
Photo frames We have made some proto type picture frames, we have thought carefully about the materials which work well and the materials which don’t work so well.
