You shouldn’t throw it away
Electronic waste is hazardous to human health and the environment. “e” waste contains dangerous chemicals and heavy metals that will leach into the water table and pollute the ground water. Recycling ewaste can be very lucrative, and is perfect for small to medium size business ventures

The U.S EPA states that “e” waste is the fastest growing segment of the municipal waste stream
Growing 3 times as fast as the solid waste stream 3 million tons discarded in the US in 2003 Over 10 million tons in 2007 3% of this is recycled

Many states have implemented a landfill ban
2001 California passed the first ban on electronic waste 2003 Maine, Minnesota, Massachusetts followed suit other states had initiated a landfill ban policy states have some type of legislation in house to ban hazardous electronics from landfills. PA and the DEP
