2 Goals What is a Goal? Two type of goals Noun
1.the result or achievement toward which effort is directed; aim; end. 2.the terminal point in a race. 3.marker by which such a point is indicated. My definition where you want to go, what you want to accomplish, and how to do it. Two type of goals Short Term Long Term

3 Goals A short-term goal is something you want to do in the near future. The near future can mean today, this week, this month, or even this year. Long-term goals require time and planning. They are not something you can do this week or even this year. Long-term goals usually take 12 months or more to achieve. Here are examples of goals that can take several years to achieve:

4 A short term goal and a long term goal have relative meanings in business depending on the context. Therefore, many businesses consider short term to mean soon, and long term to signify in a matter of time.

5 Career Noun 1.an occupation or profession, especially one requiring special training, followed as one's lifework: He sought a career as a lawyer. 2.a person's progress or general course of action through life or through a phase of life, as in some profession or undertaking: His career as a soldier ended with the armistice.

6 Examples of Goals Make Honor Roll Make all A’s Buy a car
Pass this year Be an Engineer Graduate High School College Driver license Be a Lawyer Master Degree Pass the Benchmaker Test B.S. Degree Doctor Own a business Buy a house

7 Plan Once you set a goal you need a plan to accomplish the goal
First determine if the goal is long term or short term Second determine what is need to accomplish the goal Third can you accomplish the goal alone

8 Example Goal – Make all A’s this 9 – weeks
Step 1: Play attention in class Step 2: Take notes Step 3: Participate in class Step 4: Ask questions Step 5: Read over your notes everyday Step 6: Take your time on all test
