When? Dec. 7th (LAST MEETING) What? 1 bag of candy= 1 physical hour (max of 5) Each piece costs $1 (MUST RETURN BAG WITH $15 in it) How? Check Out Bags After Meeting or in Mrs. Vanmiddendorp’s Room After School

6. Donation Drive for Homeless on the Street During Winter
Who? Cy-Fair Helping Hands What? Mosquito Repellant, New or Gently Used Sweatshirts, Jackets, Coats, Gloves, Crew Length or Long Tube Socks, sleeping bags, tents and flashlights Hours? Each Item Is One Donation Hour (max of 5) Where? Bring to Ms. Dosset’s Room When? Deadline is THIS FRIDAY MUST SIGN IN TO GET CREDIT

7. Cancelled Lock-In Options:
1) You can take the 5 physical hours and 1 social, and your $20 will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network 2) You can get a refund THROUGH THIS FRIDAY

9. CAR WASH
When? Nov. 26th Where? Cypress Station Car Wash, 2pm-6pm What? Get your car washed to get social credit. We will have table set up in front of office to sign your cards. Invite friends and family to come too!!

10. JAR OF HAPPY THOUGHTS
How? Write a nice note of positive encouragement or a quote
Ex. “It’s a good day for a good day!”
Why?
These are going into decorated mason jars and will be given to Warner Elementary’s counseling office

11. The Presidential Volunteer Service Award!
Do you have volunteer hours outside of Key Club? You should work towards…
The Presidential Volunteer Service Award!
Go to presidentialserviceawards.org and make an account and track your hours throughout the entire calendar year! You can include your Key Club hours as well as any outside hours.
50% of your total needed hours should be earned OUTSIDE of our Key Club sign-ups!

13. How To Receive One:
Go to presidentialserviceawards.gov
Click on the Get Involved Tab and then click on the Volunteers link
As you scroll down, on the right (under a picture), there is a REGISTER Button. Click on that.
Complete the form accurately and click submit application
After filling out the form, you will see a page that has three buttons (My Profile, My Service, and Share Your Story).
Update your profile information if needed
Click on the My Service Tab and fill out all the service activities you have completed.
Print out the page and bring it to Mrs. Garcia, 3006, with $5.00 by DEC. 16TH (JAN. 3RD if volunteering over break)

14. You joined Key Club… now what?
You need…
service hours (10 of which much be physical)
2. 2 social credits
3. Have missed 2 or less meetings throughout the semester ( 1st and 3rd Wed. either 6:35 or 2:40)
Your hours/social credits start over every semester!
*If you didn’t meet these requirements, you are considered an inactive member and the semester will not count for you.

15. How do I get my hours?
Make an account on the website! Under “Find A Sign Up” Search: Use this website throughout the year in order to sign up for volunteer opportunities! Also, constantly be checking your , FB page, our website and Remind101 for alerts on new events!

16. BRING YOUR SERVICE CARDS!
If you do not have your service card with you at the meeting YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE CREDIT FOR YOUR ATTENDANCE!
The little dates on the back are to be stamped by our officers 
If you need your service card signed for an event or social you volunteered at/attended, fill out the date, event name, number of hours, etc. and THEN the president, vps, or supervisors will sign it for you!
