District Simplified Grants
Can be local or international in nature Humanitarian (can’t be used for bricks and mortar) Should build a better community, a better Rotary Club Can be submitted now thru March 31st (sooner is better) Try to fund as many eligible projects as possible Last year, had requests of over $30,000- $9,000 won’t go far In , due to increased giving, we will have over $21,000 to disburse!

Matching Grants At least 3 Rotarians plan an international humanitarian project. The host partner must contribute at least $100. The project must be new. Check with RI to make sure the country is eligible for matching grants. The sponsor (club and others) raise cash $3,300 The host partner contributes cash $100 District 6250 matches sponsor contrib. $3,300 TRF matches 100% of the District Match $3,300 TRF matches 50% of the cash raised $1,700 Total funds available for project: $11,700

Another Great Grant: The Volunteer Service Grant
This grant is used by individuals who are actively planning a foreign project and will be meeting regarding the project for planning purposes at least 5 days It also is used by individuals making the project happen. In this case, the individual/team must be in country for 10 days working on the project Funds are limited to $6000/project Applications must be submitted at least 90 days prior to departure and approved at least 60 days prior to departure

Clearly written “Tells a story” for the people not close to the project Meets all criteria Explains how it meets criteria Read directions-make sure the criteria are met and EVERY question is answered
